Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese Medicine modality that is used for numerous health conditions which can be identified as the result of an imbalance or blockage in the body.
Sue often uses acupuncture techniques for the relief of pain and inflammation, musculoskeletal dysfunction, dis-ease, infections and for strengthening one’s immunity and overall health.
The insertion of fine, stainless steel needles are inserted into the skin at strategic points and at various depths to rebalance the flow of “qi” (vital life force or energy) to restore balance and stimulate the body’s ability to self heal.
We prefer to use extremely fine, sterile, single use needles and Japanese acupuncture techniques where palpation (gentle pressure) is used prior to the insertion of the needle, along with moxibustion.
